The Cherry Burton Tennis Club is a social, family-friendly club offering members social tennis, club tournaments, competitive league matches and coaching. We have 3 all weather courts and now as well we have the use of the MUGA, so tennis is not just a summer sport for our village.
Our relatively small club participates in both the Hull and Driffield Tennis Leagues for competitive tennis with teams for Mixed, Men’s and Ladies. There’s quite a lot of tennis to fit into the season so we welcome new members to come and join the fun and competitive matches!
We support the local community with coaching throughout the summer period on a pay as you go basis. It is a very successful programme with up to 50 people participating on a weekly basis. With 3 courts and now the MUGA we are well positioned to grow the programme so to include even more participants – of all ages and abilities. We aim to help people improve their game, enjoy the sport and have fun on the courts.
Cherry Burton Tennis Club offers a variety of memberships which run from May to April with new members always welcome. As members there are added benefits such as the fantastic Wimbledon ticket draw, weekly social tennis on a Sunday night and our newly introduced Club Box Tournaments which will run throughout the year. Additionally we offer fun social events and fund raising activities.

Adult tennis coaching – starts 8th July 2017
Adult coaching starts this weekend at Cherry Burton Tennis Club. There are 3 sessions planned before the holiday break:
Saturday 8th July 10.30-11.30am
Saturday 15th July 10.30-11.30am
Saturday 22nd July 10.30-11.30am
All sessions are £5.50 per person. Sessions will be run by our coach, Sam Marshall, and they are open to all adults, members and non-members. No need to book or commit to all three sessions, just turn up and pay as you go.
It would be helpful for planning purposes if you could let Sam know if you will be coming to any of the sessions. You can contact Sam on 07455 298671. Sam can then also let you know if any session is cancelled due to rain.
We would be very interested in any feedback you may have for us on adult coaching as we make plans for the autumn.
We hope you enjoy the coaching!
A flyer for the sessions is available here.
